Celebrate the Small Things 5-29-15   4 comments

I’m back on track with my celebrate posts.

This past week I went to my in-person writing group and had a nice chat with other writers.

I finished the rewrite on my novel and now am going through taking out filter words like: that, really, very and passive words like was, I hear, I see etc. It’s a grueling process but needed! After that I’m going to go through it chapter by chapter to make sure each scene says what it needs to say.

My kitten is growing. Still getting hissed at by older cat but not as much. They actually both laid on the bed at the same time yesterday.

Turned my ankle last week but it’s better this week and hope to get back to walking soon. Giving it a bit of a rest for a few days.

And that’s it. Hope you and yours have a great week coming up. It’s June! Summertime and the living is easy…of course in Los Angeles it pretty much is always summer so there you go.

Take Care,

Kathleen

  3. I’m glad to hear your ankle’s better, your kitten’s starting to fit in, and that you’re knee deep in revisions. Revisions are so exciting — it means you’re almost at the end – ready to pub or query or send to your agent! Good luck!

  4. Those little improvements are what lead to the bigger stuff, aren’t they?
