Celebrate the Small Things-July 5, 2015   Leave a comment

Greetings All!

Yes, I am a couple of days late with this post. Can I blame it on the holiday?

Things I celebrated this past week:

  • I finished the third edits on the pirate book and it’s now in the hands of beta readers and critique partners.
  • I got to watch fireworks on my balcony, the same thing I did last year and they were so lovely! My new kitten was terrified though (I knew she would be) and hid through most of it. After they were done, she came out like nothing had happened. But today every time she heard a loud noise she flattened herself to the ground and looked around. Poor kitty.
  • For a treat I went to the movies to see the new Terminator movie. It wasn’t great, but I thought Arnold did a good job and the actor who played John Connor stole the movie, IMHO. Also, Matt Smith (from Doctor Who) was in, although his part wasn’t as big as I would’ve liked. He was still good!
  • I beta read for a writer pal and finished it last night.
  • I discovered a TV show I hadn’t watched called Harper’s Island. It’s only 13 episodes and I just finished episode eleven. It’s about a group of people on an island being terrorized by a serial killer. Although I like it, the people do some stupid things.
  • A new recipe I tried that involved chicken, rice and cream of chicken soup did not go well. It was a gloopy mess so I am celebrating the fact I am never making it again.

Here’s hoping your week coming up is fabulous!

Kathleen
