Celebrate the Small Things-June 19, 2015   4 comments

Greetings All!

This past week was an improvement over last week since I wasn’t sick! Yay for the virus finally going away.

  • I’m about a quarter of the way through a revision on a YA pirate book I wrote. The plot needed to be overhauled and so I decided to tackle it.
  • I spent time at Barnes and Noble yesterday and looked through a few Young Adult books I want to read.
  • I’m going to see Jurassic World this weekend!
  • The kitten keeps growing, which is good! She looks like a grown cat but acts like a kitten. She loves to be held and rocked, so sweet. The older cat is still annoyed with her though.
  • I’m trying a new medium. I’m designing a comic book to enter into a contest. I believe it helps to focus your creativity in a variety of ways. I figure it will only enhance my writing.
  • Yesterday was Sir Paul McCartney’s birthday. So happy belated birthday, Sir Paul!

And that was my week, how was yours?

Here’s hoping this next week brings you good news!

I’m back on track with my celebrate posts.

This past week I went to my in-person writing group and had a nice chat with other writers.

I finished the rewrite on my novel and now am going through taking out filter words like: that, really, very and passive words like was, I hear, I see etc. It’s a grueling process but needed! After that I’m going to go through it chapter by chapter to make sure each scene says what it needs to say.

My kitten is growing. Still getting hissed at by older cat but not as much. They actually both laid on the bed at the same time yesterday.

Turned my ankle last week but it’s better this week and hope to get back to walking soon. Giving it a bit of a rest for a few days.

And that’s it. Hope you and yours have a great week coming up. It’s June! Summertime and the living is easy…of course in Los Angeles it pretty much is always summer so there you go.
